Eternals is the first Marvel film to be certified rotten on Rotten Tomatoes, an American review website. Many had high expectations for this movie, but it turned out to be quite a letdown. The plot tried to squeeze too much into the 2 hours and 37 minutes. Viewers still wanted to know more about what happened between some of the characters such as Drug and Makkari and how Sprite will get used to morality. When watching this movie, many viewers were also probably confused as to who these characters were. In most Marvel movies, the characters are well known, but people have to adjust to this one. Personally, when I watched it, it felt just way too long to keep up with. Some parts were too dragged out and others I completely didn't understand. For example, there were random fighting scenes involved that confused me. I believe that Marvel movies are created to be for a range of ages, but I doubt younger children would be able to comprehend this movie. Altogether, in my opinion, it definitely didn't live up to expectations and could be a lot better if they didn't rush the storyline. Next time, they should just make it easy for a child to understand.
