This week, the Warrior Word sent out a survey to the high school’s official “Student Life 22-23” Whatsapp group asking the students their opinions about their preferred schedule. The schedule has been a controversial topic in high school for years, having gone through numerous shifts. Currently, each student has 9 40-minute periods everyday, with lunch as their only break.
Out of 169 students in the high school, 51 students responded (30%). 56.9% prefer the schedule as it is now, while 43.1% of students prefer a block schedule with fewer classes that are longer. In terms of adding a study hall period, 76.5% of the responses were of the opinion that making this change is extremely necessary.
