October 7th Victim Gadi Haggai

Warrior Word Staff

On the morning of October 7th, 2023, Gadi Haggai was brutally murdered at the age of 73 while laying face down in a field. As rockets came from the sky, terrorists entered his kibbutz to murder and kidnap residents there.

Unfortunately, terrorists on motorcycles shot Haggai dead, and the paramedics were unable to get to him in time. Sadly, his death was confirmed in December of 2023, but Hamas has yet to return his body.

Gadi was a father, grandfather, jazz musician, chef, retired IDF soldier, exercise guru, and so much more. During his time in the IDF, he participated in the IDF orchestra as their first-ever flutist. He then moved to the U.S. to pursue his jazz career before returning back to Israel and meeting his wife.

Together, they opened their own jazz orchestra, called the Jazz Union, and were also blessed with four children.

Later in his life, Gadi decided to study cooking in order to support his family, moving his whole family to Kibbutz Nir Oz, where he worked as a chef.

On the morning of October 7th, he and his wife, Judi, were on a walk when the rockets came, and they were both killed.

It has been 531 days since the horrible attack on October 7th, 2023, and we continue to pray for the return of Gadi’s body and the rest of the remaining hostages.

Bring them home now!
