With the Shalhevet Tournament behind them, the Lady Warriors turned up the heat at the Girls Basketball JDSF Preseason Classic Championship. The tournament consisted of four schools: Hebrew Academy, Katz Yeshiva High School, Scheck Hillel Community School, and David Posnack Jewish Day School.
On November 9th, Hebrew Academy played against Hillel and won with an impressive score of 67-2, advancing to the championship game. Posnack, who had beat KYHS that same night, lost to Hebrew Academy this Wednesday with a score of 46-37. This win secured the Warriors the championship title, which had not been done since 2013.
"It was really amazing to win the championship because we haven't won since they started the tournament in 2013. It was such a good feeling to hold the trophy in our hands," said team captain Yakira Wolfson (12th). "Im really excited [for the upcoming season]. I think we're gonna have a lot of potential and we can win a lot of games."
The Lady Warrior’s next game is set for 5:30 PM at the Hebrew Academy gym. The Warrior Word wishes much success to the game in their upcoming season.
