Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is omitted. This week, the Warrior Word interviewed Tali Bejar (11th). Get to know Tali as she discusses her background, school life, and future goals and interests.
“Hi, my name is Tali Bejar and I'm a sixteen-year-old junior. I am a Sephardic Jew born in Florida. I have two older brothers, nineteen and twenty-one. My nineteen-year-old brother is at Yeshiva in Israel, and my other brother is making an Aliyah to move to Israel and join the army. I transferred this year from KYHS because my mom got a job here as the college guidance counselor. My favorite thing about this school is the people here and all the friends I’ve made. One of my favorite subjects is my AP U.S. History class. I'm in the Environmental Club and the Chesed Club. When I was younger I played lacrosse, basketball, softball, and soccer, and am planning to try out for the flag football team. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym and being with my friends. After I graduate I plan on taking a gap year in Israel for seminary, and then hope to go to a local college like Nova and study marketing.”
