Humans of RASG: Emilia Wagner

Warrior Word Staff

Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is omitted. This week, the Warrior Word interviewed Emilia Wagner (10th). Get to know Emilia as she discusses her family and school activities.

“Hi, my name is Emilia Wagner and I’m a 15-year-old Ashikenazi jew. I’m a sophomore at Hebrew Academy, which I’ve been attending since 6th grade. I am the oldest and have 2 sisters. I have a sister, Violet, that attends the middle school here in Hebrew Academy, as well as a sister in Pre K, Aria, that goes to a different school. I’m in all honors classes and am taking AP Psych with Dr. Prechter. My favorite class is science with Mrs. Campbell because she has the perfect balance of teaching and joking around. I’m on the volleyball team as well as the basketball team. Our team recently had a Shabbaton where girls basketball teams from all over the country came to Miami to compete against each other. I had so much fun on the shabbaton bonding with my teammates. I thought it was really well planned out. I loved meeting new people and I’m so happy our team made it to the championships. My favorite part about being on the basketball team is how close I’ve become with all the girls from all different grades and all the great memories we’ve made together, such as our weekend in LA. Some of my hobbies include working out, going on runs, and going shopping with my friends. I love all of the friendships I’ve made while going to the school and one of my favorite things about the school is how small and close it is, making it feel like a big family!”
