Humans of RASG, similar to Humans of New York, is a verbal snapshot of the people who make up our high school. Each human is asked to speak about themselves at length, and their monologue is recorded and transcribed verbatim. In order to keep it real, nothing is left out.
Lou Bsiri (11th Grade)
Hi, hello! I’m Lou Bsiri. I came to America eight-and-a-half years ago from a lottery that my parents signed up for ten years before we won. It is a thing that you can get a green card for free, and so we applied for it. A year after winning it, we moved to America. I went from a public school, all the way from fourth grade to eighth grade. Then after, I came here to Hebrew Academy as a freshman. I didn't know anyone, but come to realize it, all of those people are like my family, my friends. I love them so much. I am a twin--I have a twin brother. He goes to Hillel Aventura. After graduating high school I really want to go into business because it’s an interest of mine that I really want to go into; like being a manager of something really cool. I have a guinea pig named Coco, and he is the cutest! During the difficult times with corona a lot of things got cancelled, like a lot of things I was supposed to do in the summer. My aunt’s wedding got pushed off. Being away from my friends and family was really hard, but since school started it made me and my health better. It brought my friends and me even closer together than where we were before. Thank you!
