For The First Time In HA History

After a thrilling five-set victory over Edison Private, the Lady Warriors volleyball team advanced to the District Championship for the first time in school history. Both teams battled it out and split the first four sets until the Warriors won the tiebreaker 16-14.

The Lady Warriors saved their best for last, as they finished the regular season with a 3-6 record. However, they stepped it up during the playoffs, beating Cushman and Edison Private, securing their spot in the championship game.

The volleyball team works extremely hard with practices very often. Seeing their hard work pay off has meant a lot and excited the team.

“I'm so proud of our team for making it to this point for the first time in Warriors history,” said Shoshy Stein, a key contributor to the team (11th), “It’s also a big accomplishment and something to be very proud about, and I’m so glad I get to experience something this exciting, especially for our school.”

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts at Thursday’s game against Sheridan Hills Christan, they fell short in 3 sets by scores of 11-25, 10-25, and 12-25.

The Lady Warriors will now wait and see if they qualify for the FHSAA Regional tournament next week.

We are very proud of our Lady Warriors for advancing all the way to the championship and giving this season their all. The Warrior Word wishes them good luck with future games.
