Lady Warriors Volleyball End Season on a High at Districts Game Seasoned players excitedly rushed to the gym, while novice ones anxiously walked onto the court. The 2015 girls volleyball team was a combination of new and old athletes, all ready to play.
Coach Stephen, the head coach for the volleyball team, had big hopes for the team this school year–he wanted to take his players all the way to districts. Although the girls battled through a tough season, they were able to make their way up to that important and exciting game.
With a tough start to the season, the Lady Warriors were able to improve as a team with constant practice and dedication.
“We progressed as a team, we encouraged each other and we had a great time. Our practices were filled with laughter, and we enjoyed ourselves. Overall it was a great season,” said Melanie Arougueti, team co-captain. For some this was just the start to their volleyball career, while sadly for others it was the end.
“It was an incredible season. Our young team really improved throughout the season and put up a good fight at districts. I thank Coach Stephen for taking the team to the next level. I am really going to miss the whole volleyball experience and wish the best to the future Warriors,” said Hailey Dobin, team co-captain.
We are looking forward to seeing all the great accomplishments that are in store for the volleyball team in the years to come. Go Warriors!
